About Amber Collinson

I am currently in Year 3, Studio DS3(7) with Dr John Zhang and Mr David Porter, which is participating in an international exchange with the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, studying the Poetics of habitation in times of coronavirus.

In the past three years, I have applied my creative skills and taken an iterative approach to complete a wide variety of projects. These range from a visitor tower for a great electric boat that would save cosmists from flooding in London to a 5-day SOM competition to modelling a node of the Lee Hall College of Architecture.

My main Architectural influences are Art Deco, Post-Modernism (particularly the works and theories of Aldo Rossi), and Modern Architecture.

​

My dissertation topic is: How has London used its transport design to express modernity by using contrasting approaches to holistic brand identity and individualism in its Architecture.
